Our Database of books is compiled from three major databases from Australia, the US and the UK. These books are not all carried in stock & most will have to be ordered from the supplier. The notes on the status of each title will clearly indicate if the book is in stock and give an estimated delivery time. The database is updated weekly by our suppliers and what we show on our site is the latest information supplied to us by them.
Expected delivery times are displayed when a title is selected. Generally, titles in stock in Australia are shipped within 7-10 days of order (depending on stock availability). US titles are shipped in 10-15 days and UK titles are shipped 20-25 days.
Imported books are priced depending on the current exchange rate from the country of origin and include the cost of importation. All prices are listed in Australian dollars.
All orders are subject to changes in price and availability. If price and/or availability changes, we will contact you prior to finalization of your order. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped, unless paying by PayPal.

The first time you visit Seekbooks.com.au and want to order a book, you create a Customer Account. You enter your personal information (name, address, phone, etc.) only once and then every time you return to the site to make a purchase, all you have to do is enter your email address and password. We retrieve all your personal information from our database. For security reasons, you must enter credit card information each time you visit.

We back every purchase you make by credit card at Seekbooks.com.au through our Safe Shopping Guarantee. We use the latest encryption technology to keep your personal information safe and we do not release it to any outside organisation. If fraudulent charges are ever made on your credit card arising from use on this site, you will not have to pay for them, however please advise us immediately.
If you already know the title or author of the book you want, type in the title, author's name, or, if you know it, the ISBN of the book, and then click on Search.
If you have no specific book or author in mind and you just want to browse through our extensive database, then use our general search facilities. Here we offer you a number of different methods:
- Go to the Popular Categories section at the side of the screen and click on the category that interests you. You can further refine your search by selecting a sub-category. There are over 3,000 categories, so we hope you find what you want.
- Go to Advanced Search and follow the instructions.
How to Buy
We have made every effort to make buying a book from our store as easy as possible. Use the search facility to look up a book and once you have found a title in the format you want to buy, click on the title and you will be taken to a page devoted to that title. To place your order, Click on "Add to Shopping Basket". Once you have placed the item in your basket, you can choose to "Check Out" or "Continue Shopping".
How to Check Out the Items in Your Basket
When you click on "Check Out", you are taken to your shopping basket. Here you can review your purchases and if necessary, make changes to your order.
If you decide you don't want to buy a particular title and want to take an item out of your shopping basket, Click on the "Delete" button next to the title.
If you want to change the number of copies you want to buy of a particular title, highlight the number in the "Quantity" box by left-clicking on your mouse, type in the number of copies you now require, and click on the "Update Basket" button.
When you are happy with your order and are ready to purchase your items, click on the "Check Out Now" button.
If you are a return customer, enter your Email Address and Password, and click on "Log In". Check that your personal details are correct. If you need to change anything, simply type the new information over the existing details. Your new information will be saved automatically. Select the delivery option you prefer, and then click on the "Continue with Order" button.
If you are a new customer, click on the "Create New User Account" button and enter the required information. This is where you will create your Email Address and Password, which will enable you to shop in future without having to type in your personal details again.
When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you prefer, and then click on the "Continue with Order" button.
Check that the "Billed To" and "Shipped To" addresses are correct. If you need to make changes, click on the "Back" button.
Select your credit card type and expiration date from the drop-down menus and enter your card number in the box. Click on the "I Accept" button.
Paying via PayPal
To use this method you will need to have an account already set up with PayPal. Please note that using this payment method the funds are deducted from your account immediately on placement of order.
If you have a gift/credit voucher you wish to use please do not use the Express Checkout as the voucher will not be deducted, you will need to go through our checkout and choose the option to pay by PayPal at the payment section.

We are able to gift-wrap many of the books in our database at a cost of AUD $3.00 per item. This option is located within the checkout procedure. Simply select the wrap of your choice and we'll do the rest. If you want, we'll even include a personal message.
Please note that if you have multiple items within your order and you require gift-wrapping, all items have to be gift-wrapped. We do not offer item by item gift-wrapping within a single order.
Availability of books is generally shown once a book is selected. We will also endeavour to display the expected shipping time. We do our best to estimate a shipping date however we do not guarantee that the estimate is the date it will be shipped, this depends on a title's availability.
Occasionally books appear on the Seekbooks.com.au site that are currently unavailable or out-of-print. We hold your order on back-order until we hear from the supplier that it is unavailable. If that occurs we cancel your order and notify you by email. Please note that since we do not charge your credit card until we are sending the books there will be no charge on your credit card. However, if you have paid via PayPal then a refund for any unsupplied books will be processed for you.

All books are shipped from our Australian fulfilment centre located in Sydney. Books are shipped to Australian addresses via Australia Post, parcel post, and books shipped to overseas locations are shipped via Fedex.
If you wish to return a book/CD/DVD please contact customer service within 14 days of receiving the item either by phone (02) 8206 9035 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, advising us of the reason for the return.
Seekbooks.com.au will accept returns of books with a delivery note, within 21 days of shipping. Claims for damaged or misbound books and non-delivery must also be lodged within 21 days of shipping. If you have no packing slip, please return the book with a copy of the order acknowledgement email you received when placing your order.
DVDs, CD's and other items shipped sealed or shrink-wrapped must be returned in original sealed or shrink-wrapped condition if you are requesting an exchange or credit. We cannot accept CDs or DVDs as returns, unless the goods are factory sealed and unused, or faulty.
Returned items must be in saleable condition.
When returning items to our customer service centre, please indicate the reason for your return on the reverse side of the packing slip and include the packing slip in the box. For your protection, you may wish to send your return via insured parcel post. Please send all returns to:

Seekbooks.com.au cannot pay for return shipping charges unless we have made a shipping error. All returns will be issued an online credit voucher (emailed to the email address on your order) which can be redeemed against any future purchases. We will make every effort to process returned items within 7-10 business days of receipt of the return.
For orders of multiple copies of the same title totalling over $1100, you may be eligible for extra discount. In this case please contact our customer service department to organize a quote. Payment for bulk orders would need to be by Direct Deposit on placement of order.
Please note that we are unable to accept returns for bulk orders (ie.5 or more copies of the same title).
Non-Receipt of Shipped Parcel
If a shipped parcel has not been received by you please advise us. After 21 days from date of shipment we will either re-order and resend the order or issue a refund.
Incorrect and/or Insufficient Delivery Addresses
Customers who enter addresses that Australia Post have deemed as having incorrect and/or insufficient details to ensure delivery, or incorrect addresses supplied by customers, may result in the following:
Package/s returned to our warehouse
Packages returned to us due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient information will require an extra delivery charge of $6.95 to resend. If packages are returned to us we are unable to refund your order. We will issue an online credit voucher that can be used towards a future order to the value of the books returned.
If packages are lost due to the above we are unable to resupply or refund the order.
Customs, Duties, and Taxes for Overseas Orders
You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported
to the destination country. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of
Australia may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by
the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be
subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once
a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance
must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and
cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country
to country; you should contact your local customs office for further
We guarantee the book you purchase will reach you in mint condition (if a new book - with the exception of bargain books which are "as new") or in the condition described on the web site (if a used book). If you are not completely satisfied, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the item and advise us of the confirmation/order no and the reason for returning and return the item to us (within 21 days of receipt) We will replace the book or issue an online credit for the cost of the book. Shipping and handling expenses are not subject to refund unless the book was received damaged, misbound or the wrong product was shipped. If so, we will absorb the costs to send you the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, American Express credit cards. Credit cards are handled by our secure server and charged the next business day after the order is filled.
We also accept payment via PayPal, cheque and money order and direct deposit.
Please note that where you have chosen to pay by cheque, money order and direct deposit your order cannot be processed until payment has been received.
All prices are inclusive of GST where applicable.
We do not accept purchase orders since all orders must be pre-paid. If you are a corporate or organisational customer, please contact us at email@example.com after placing your order for a copy of a proforma invoice, if required.
Create an Account
To process your orders, we need to set up an account for you first. Having an account will enable you to place orders faster and more easily and to track your orders online. Your Email Address and Password are the keys to your Customer Account; they must be entered before any information can be accessed. You create your account the first time you go through the Check Out process. Here's how:
- When you're finished shopping, click on the "Check Out Now" button.
- As a new customer, click on the "Create New User Account" button.
- Enter your personal details. These details are the minimum information we need to ship you your order correctly and to process your credit card. For your security, we do not retain details of your credit card with your personal information; rather, we require you to enter credit card information each time you make a purchase.
- At this point you will also create your Email Address and Password. This will enable you to come back in future and shop without having to type in your personal details again. Make sure you keep your Email Address and Password in a safe place.
- When you have completed the form, select the delivery option you require, and then Click on the "Continue with Order" button.
View Your Order
To review your past or pending orders:
- Click on the "Your Account" link on the home page. This will take you to the Account Login page. Enter your Email Address and Password and Click on the "Login" button.
- You can now view your past or pending orders. To get the details of an order, click on Order #. You'll be able to see which items have already shipped, when they were shipped, the method of delivery, and which items are still being processed.
