About the Author
At just 14, Karen was one of the youngest delegates invited by the federal Government to attend
the country’s first National Youth Conference. At 15, Karen was honoured with an Australian Young
Citizen of the Year Award for outstanding services to youth at a local, state and national level and
has since lived by the belief that one idea can change the world through creating heart-to-heart
connections.
With an expansive career in media as a qualified journalist, radio announcer, television presenter
and social columnist for various lifestyle publications, Karen launched her communications,
branding and events company at just 27 after positions in London and Asia. Karen Phillips Corporate
Communications has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious brands and identities.
An avid supporter of women’s cancer charities and other causes, she has managed and hosted
one of Australia’s longest-running women’s business clubs, now called Early Risers, in Queensland for
over 18 years, featuring such iconic names as Jane Fonda, Ray Martin and Olivia Newton-John.
Karen has become one of Australia’s most sought-after professional presenters and trainers, with a
primary focus on women’s leadership and empowerment.
Between running her agency and her media and professional commitments, she is dedicated to
connecting people by planting seeds of inspiration through sharing heartfelt messages.
