Apart from constantly writing for children she is a voice artist for radio, television and film, a writer/performer for Channel 9 Super Debates, a guest presenter for 2BL, a weekly comedy panelist for 2BL, weekly guest humorist for Regional ABC, has appeared in The Arena (Foxtel program) and Mouthing Off (TV pilot, ABC performer). Gretel's writing has appeared in Cleo, Sydney Morning Herald, Simply Living and Express magazine.Apart from her hugely popular My Sister's series, Gretel has written many other successful books including the new picture book from Random House, What'll we get for Grandma?

My Sister's an Alien was performed at RMIT. Gretel has appeared at both the Sydney Writer's Festival and Somerset Literary Festival.
