Nneka's little brother Chidi is always saying that his favourite colour is blue. When Nneka asks him why, he replies because the sky is blue and my best shirt is blue. So Nneka decides to teach him about other colours seen in their village and to tell him why she likes them. Ifeoma Onyefulu introduces children to a rainbow palette, African style, with warm words and photographs offering a colourful glimpse of Nigerian village life. Ifeoma actively promotes her books and is in demand at festivals and storytelling events, including the Edinburgh Festival and the Northern Children's Book Festival. The book will be reviewed in: educational press, including Child Education, Junior Education and TES book magazines, including Carousel and Books for Keeps ethnic interest press, including The Voice and New Nation parenting magazines, including Practical Parenting and Baby family magazines, including Sainsbury's and London Parents' Guide. To be on display at teachers' centre, including CLPE, Institute of Education (London) and the Reading Centre (at Reading University).
