Retz Reeves grew up in the hills of western Pennsylvania, adjacent to her grandmothers farm, where she learned to respect and love animals. I accepted a job from a phone booth in a bus station in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 1979, she dropped off her phone in downtown Pittsburgh, bought a bikini and moved to South Florida. Animal-less for eight years, she met her husband, Randy, and then Bo-Jo. Adopted Paws is the story of the animals they adoptedBo-Jo, Lucky, Petey, Samantha, Cali, and the heroine of the story, Molly, who was a victim of feline AIDSand other animals who ran through their life and sometimes into their neighbors yard. When shes not traipsing around the world looking for investments for Hansberger Global Investors, Retz enjoys working and living in South Florida and the Florida Keys with Randy, some of their critters introduced in Adopted Paws and a few more who strayed into their lives. |
